In the afternoon of August 9, signing ceremony for 2010 Baoying China · Lotus Roots Festival · Technological Innovation and Industrial Cooperation Promotion was held in the hall of the County Meeting Center. The following county leaders were present in the ceremony: Zhong Sheng, Han Guozhu, Qin Youfang, Chen Jinrong, Diao Shunqin, Hou Chenghai, Wang Youfang, Zhu Songhua, Jiang Tao, Xia Xueyong, Zhai Shigao, Yang Shanhui, Gu Changrong, Hua Derong, Chen Shi and Zuo Zhihui. Wang Tingguo, vice secretary of county committee and acting county chief, made the introduction of the environment for investment. Zhou Yubao, vice secretary of County Committee, presided over the meeting. In addition, leaders from four government organs were also present in the meeting.

There are 23 projects in the signing ceremony, all of them exceeding CNY 100 million or foreign investment projects, in which there are 22 formal projects with total planned investment of CNY 3315 million and introduced foreign investment of CNY 59 million. There are 20 formal projects exceeding CNY 100 million or 10 million US dollars with total planned investment of CNY 3254 million; 2 projects exceeding CNY 500 million or 50 million US dollars with total planned investment of CNY 1300 million.

Wang Tingguo launched the promotion titled as "Progressing Hand in Hand and Creating a Bright Future" and introduced the economic situation of our county from four aspects. With easy access to transportation facilities, Baoying could help greatly reduce the investment costs of customers. After construction of many years, Baoying has formed an integrated transport system from highway, waterway and railway. Baoying has a solid industrial foundation, which provides good opportunities for investment of customers. With numerous companies being established and supported industries being improved, Baoying has increasingly extended its industrial chain, so as to create the competitive advantages. Baoying insists on developing the industrial zones and towns, which may serve as the policies for industrial transfer. It devotes energetic efforts to creating 50 square kilometers economic circle and gives special attention to the following six professional parks: Transmission Equipment (Smart Grid) Industrial Park, Sensata Supporting Park, Chengnan Information and Software Park, Pump Valve Park, Organic Food Processing Park and Junsheng Technological Park. In addition, efforts shall also be made to promote the development of the cities connecting Yangzhou, Taizhou, Yancheng and Huai'an. Baoying could also provide excellent services for the investors. Striving for offering more favorable policies and better service and attracting more investment, we have continuously optimized our service environment and improved our investment services, establishing a new concept of providing all-round service for mutual benefits.
