In the morning of June 2, Xie Zhengyi, Vice Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, who came to attend the ceremony of commencement of work of the new tower of the 500KV UHV cross-linked cable project of Baosheng Prysmian Cable Co., Ltd., friendly met the Italian guests including Mr. Paul Bazzoni, CEO of Prysmian (China) Investment Co., Ltd. and the Chairman of Baosheng Prysmian Cable Co., Ltd. and Mr. Romeo, the Chief Executive of Energy Cable Business of Prysmian Headquarter in Milan, Italy. The two parties of guests and hosts had friendly conversation. Leaders of the municipality and the county including He Jinfa, Zhong Sheng, Zhang Yaowu and Gu Changrong attended the meeting.

In the meeting, Xie Zhengyi said that he was very pleased to attend the opening ceremony of the new tower of the 500KV UHV cross-linked cable project of Baosheng Prysmian Cable Co., Ltd. Prysmian was the third Italian enterprise that he met recently, which means that Yangzhou and Baoying had become a hot spot for Italian’s investment. The cooperation between Baosheng and Prysmian had been 11 years. The practice showed that the cooperation had been successful, which was based on Prysmian’s world influence and its advantages such as advanced management and technology, based on such an excellent partner as Baosheng and also the good investment environment of Baoying. Xie Zhengyi also said that now the Chinese government was developing smart power grid, in which the efficiency of power transmission and the power safety were the focuses for the government. He believed that the products of Prysmian would have great market perspectives. Also because of the development potential of smart grid, Yangzhou has taken it as a strategic industry. Yangzhou and Baoying welcome Prysmian expanding the investment, and are willing to provide more professional and more fine services to its development in Yangzhou and Baoying.

Mr. Bazzoni said in the meeting that the day was an important day for the joint venture. The company would increase investment to build the joint venture the best HV cable enterprise in China. He believed that the cooperation with Baosheng would be closer and closer, more and more successful and the business going better and better. During many years of cooperation, the local government of Baoying had offered many supports to the joint venture and many departments had provided helps to the joint venture. He believed that in the future, under the support of Yangzhou and Baoying, the cooperation between Prysmian and Baosheng would be closer and closer, and the development in China would be better every day.
