From May 26 to May 30, Zhong Sheng, Secretary of the CCP Committee and Executive of the NPC Standing Committee of the County, brought a delegation to U.S. to carry out investment promotion. They successively visited various famous American enterprises including Sensata Technologies, EMS, Blue Point Capital Partners, and Halite, etc., and carried out friendly negotiation concerning matters of establishing joint ventures and cooperation, having achieved great success. Gu Changrong, the Vice Mayor of the County, and the directors of the Economic and Trading Bureau accompanied and participated in relevant activities.

In the morning of the 26th U. S. local time, Zhong Sheng and the group went to Attleboro of Massachusetts to visit Mr. Thomas, CEO of Sensata Technologies and the senior management of the company. The two parties held a friendly meeting on relevant matters of establishing joint venture and cooperation. During the meeting, Zhong Sheng made a detailed introduction to CEO Thomas on transportation conditions, urban infrastructures, industrial development and investment environment of Baoying, which strengthened the confidence of Thomas in investing in Baoying. Thomas clearly stated his stand that he would come to participate in the launch ceremony of Baoying Avenue in July, and would further expand the investment in Baoying, using three to four years’ time to make another Sensata in Baoying so as to make its sale break through 2 billion RMB.

Later, Zhong Sheng and the group visited Mr. Kevin Dumas, Mayor of Attleboro, the State of Massachusetts. The two parties carried out candor and friendly conversation. Zhong Sheng introduced the current economic and social development of our country to the American guests, and sincerely invited Mr. Kevin Dumas to visit our country at his convenient time. Mr. Dumas happily accepted the invitation on visiting Baoying at proper time to further strengthen exchange and mutual visiting and thus advocate the cooperation between the two parties in economy and culture, etc.

In the morning of the 27th, Zhong Sheng and the group visited on purpose EMS and had a meeting with Chris Hilter, CEO of EMS, who was very satisfied with the operation of the Chinese company and was very confident with the development in the future. He said that the Asian market is growing and the proportion is expanding, so he would focus on China. Baoying Factory is the only production base of EMS in China. The company will increase investment to make the factory in Baoying bigger and stronger. After the project of second phase is started, 70% of the production business will be put in Baoying.

In the afternoon of the same day, Zhong Sheng and the group went to Cleveland, the biggest city in Ohio to visit President David, and Mr. Kirby, the General Manager of Blue Point Capital Partners. Mr. David said that he had been to Baoying and he had very good impression on this beautiful place. He would focus on Baoying and recommend good enterprises of Baoying to Blue Point so as to provide support and help to Baoying enterprises in exploring market, listing in U.S. and making joint ventures and looking for cooperation. Mr. David said that the company would assign people to investigate in Baoying, meanwhile the Shanghai representative office of Blue Point would strengthen the contact and communication with Baoying to strengthen communication and cooperation.

In the morning of the 28th, Zhong Sheng and the group came also to Halite to visit Mr. Joseph, the CEO and Mr. Michael, standing vice CEO and CFO. Halite is specialized in manufacturing automobile fittings. Its clients mainly are automobile manufacturers such as GM and Volkswagen, etc. Its sale in China has reached 100 million RMB. The company plans to establish a factory in China, and is now seeking for partners. Joseph said that after listening to the introduction, he had deeper knowledge about Baoying, and he was interested in so many European and American enterprises’ coming to Baoying for development. At the same time, the good investment environment of Baoying is also attractive. He said that if he came to visit in China, he would take Baoying as one object for investigation.

During the short visit of only a few days, the members of the delegation of our county going for investment promotion gave up the time for resting, having visited several famous American enterprises. Sincere words and ardent recommendations gave other people a very deep impression. Several enterprises showed their intention of carrying out further cooperation with our county.
