In the afternoon of May 24, an Industrial Cooperation Conference of Baoying County was held in Jiading, Shanghai, announcing the beginning of the “Investment Promotion for 100 New Projects & Plans” series activities. Zhong Sheng, Secretary of County Party Committee and Director of County Standing Committee of the National People's Congress addressed the conference presided over by Diao Shunqin, a member of Standing Committee and Chief of Organization Department of County Party Committee, and about one hundred persons attended the meeting, including Li Changchun and Wu Xiaodi, County Leaders, Tao Weiping, Director of Cooperation & Exchange Office of the People’s Government of Jiading District of Shanghai, Tang Yiming, General Manager of Shanghai University National Science & Technology Park Investment Management Co., Ltd., delegates of principals of the relevant enterprises in Shanghai, delegates of principals of some of Baoying enterprises in Shanghai, and principals of the related township, departments and enterprises of Baoying County. Gu Changrong, Deputy County Head gave the special recommendation.

In his address, Zhong Sheng said, “Today, we’re gathered in Shanghai, a modern and flourishing international metropolis to renew our friendship, discuss our cooperation and look forward to a brighter future. On behalf of County Party Committee, County Government, County Office of the National People's Congress, County Committee of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and 920,000 people of Baoying County, I wish to extend a deep appreciation to you for attending the conference.” He said that the purpose of the conference in Jiading, Shanghai was to further strengthen the cooperation between Jiading and Baoying, as well as Shanghai and Baoying, to get more care and support from Jiading and Shanghai, and to write a new chapter of cooperation between Jiading and Baoying, as well as Shanghai and Baoying.

Furthermore, Zhong Sheng stated, “a charming Baoying County will be shown. Baoying, with favorable weather, is rich in recourses and glorified by talents, and her most attractive character is the ecological civilization. In the course of the industrialized development, Baoying people protect and improve their ecological environment all the time so that Baoying becomes one of the few ecological cities in Jiangsu and even in Yangtze River Delta region. A potential Baoying County will also be presented. With solid industrial foundation and early budding industrial civilization, Baoying faces a new development opportunity. Firmly focusing on the strategic guideline of “being bigger and stronger through assistance of top enterprises, cooperation with top enterprises and attracting the top enterprises”, Baoying County will quicken the industrial development. Meanwhile, with the construction of major infrastructure such as Suzhong Airport, Baoying County’s transportation conditions are significantly improved, which will facilitate the cooperation with Shanghai. Therefore, Baoying County is endowed with unique potential and growth. As last, an energetic Baoying will be displayed. At present, Baoying people inspired by various elements are striving for a new Baoying. Being led by Baoying spirit at a new stage, more information factors come to Baoying and new goals will be achieved soon. Please pay more attention to Baoying, make more investment to Baoying and give more care to Baoying. Give an opportunity to Baoying, and Baoying will return you a miracle.”

Gu Changrong gave the special recommendation titled “Focusing a Promising Investment County, Making Win-win Cooperation”, mainly stated the general situations of Baoying County, industrial foundation, key industries “One Leading Industry, Two Characteristic Industries” and important enterprises, investment vehicles, preferential policies and so on.

The Memorandum of Cooperation was concluded between Government of Baoying County and Shanghai University National Science & Technology Park.
