On the morning of March 14, Zhong Sheng, the Secretary of CPC Committee of Baoying County as well as the Director of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Baoying County, paid a visit to Paolo Bazzoni, the president of Prysmian China in Beijing. He held a talk with Mr. Bazzoni on how to promote the second phase project of the joint venture between Baosheng and Prysmian. The Deputy magistrate Gu Changrong and the persons in charge of the Office of County Party Committee, Bureau of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation were present at the meeting.

At the meeting, Paolo first briefed to Zhong Sheng the progress of the second-phase project and the second tower project. He said the preparations for the project went smoothly and the relevant examination and approval procedures were on the way. He was looking forward to the earlier commencement of the project after being approved. In the meantime, Baosheng Prysmian has upgraded its existing production lines, which is now capable of producing the 500kv cables. The concerned products have been sent to Wuhan Institute for certification. Last year saw the company obtain the first order on the national power network. Now the production line of the company is running at full capacity and the orders have been scheduled till June this year.

Zhong Sheng was pleased to hear what Paolo had said. He told Paolo that the further understanding of the project gave them more confidence and he believed both parties had become more consistent in the target of seizing a larger share in China’s high voltage cable market. Now the high-voltage cable from Prysmian has been granted the permit for sale from China’s national power network. We’ll take this opportunity to develop more rapidly. The government of Baoying County will make further efforts to create a beautiful and first-class environment for investment and establish a specialized team serving the project in the hope of promoting the project construction and accelerating company’s development.

During the talk Zhong Sheng also made a deep consultation with Paolo on some details of the project.
